SMARTdesks Shows Standup Desks, Computer Classroom Desks and Computer Floor at EdSpaces 2016 Conference and Expo

The EdSpaces 2016 theme “Visioning and Re-Visioning the Future of Educational Facilities” is the ongoing process SMARTdesks has employed since its 1996 beginnings. SMARTdesks invites architects, dealers, pre k-12, colleges and universities, independent manufacturers representatives, exhibitors, and corporations to the expo held at Cincinnati’s Convention Center November 2-4.

SMARTdesks will be a featured exhibitor for product research in booth 1102, supporting the EdSpaces 2016 theme “Visioning and Re-Visioning the Future of Educational Facilities”. President and CEO of SMARTdesks, Jeffrey Korber, and Vice President of Business Development, Jennifer Urogi will be available to discuss product application specifics and to welcome dealers into the SMARTdesks fold.

SMARTdesks Collaborative Learning Furniture will be demonstrated, including the Quark2 Sit | Stand | Mobile Collaborative Conference System that looks like a shuttlecraft on a hover board. Designed for open plan collaboration spaces, Quark2 can be a mobile desk or a stand up podium. The single column ratchet mechanism laws height adjustment from 30” to 39”. Docking systems for the wall or in clusters of 5 are available. Made to order, finish choices and laptop power and USB power options can be customized.

The Pi Collaboration Desk with flipIT monitor mount demonstrates a system of desking that makes auditorium arched rows or small collaboration groups—a revolutionary design concept. The flipIT mount lets the user fold the monitor under the desk for a full table top work space. When computers are used, the screen rotates up to a low profile for comfortable ergonomics and unobstructed sight lines in the classroom. FlipIT can be specified for most SMARTdesks and are also available in kit form.

Furniture Floor Integration Technology (FFIT) Computer Floor will also be shown. This unique raised floor provides placement of outlets for power and data anywhere in a technology space without core drilling or demolition of legacy systems. SMARTdesks provides a comprehensive, fully engineered solution for each space. In most cases, installation for a basic classroom or office space can take place in a single work day.

SMARTdesks is also using this opportunity to build its network of authorized dealers. With collaboration and teaming at the core of its business model, SMARTdesks customers will enjoy the additional support of the dealers they already know and rely on for unparalleled response and detailed project management.
