Lightware Reinforces ESG Commitment with Participation in Girls in STEM Day

Guided by a commitment to building a sustainable and equitable future, Lightware’s ESG strategy focuses on advancing high-quality ,development and manufacturing, fostering innovation, promoting gender equality, reducing environmental impact, and maintaining the highest standards of ethical governance.

As part of its ESG efforts, Lightware proudly participated in "Girls in STEM Day" on April 10, a nationwide initiative in Hungary designed to encourage young girls to explore careers in engineering, science, and technology. Recognizing the ongoing underrepresentation of women in technical fields, Lightware is committed to inspiring future generations to pursue STEM careers and believes that diverse perspectives are essential for building stronger communities and industries.

As part of Girls in STEM Day, Lightware’s Budapest headquarters opened its doors to girls aged 14 to 18. Participants took part in a full-day program designed to provide real-world insights into various career paths within Lightware. The day began with a welcoming meet-and-greet session, followed by an engaging introduction to supply chain management and production planning, including hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and collaboration. The morning continued with an interactive engineering workshop, where participants worked side-by-side with Lightware’s engineers on creative challenges. In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the dynamic worlds of sales and marketing, offering a broader view of the diverse career opportunities available within the technology sector. The program concluded with a fun and challenging quiz session, reinforcing the day's learnings through teamwork and problem-solving.

The success of the day was made possible by the collaboration of six different departments and the dedication of more than 20 Lightware colleagues, whose enthusiasm and expertise created a truly memorable experience for the participants.

Events like Girls in STEM Day reflect Lightware’s ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation, promoting diversity in technology, and driving forward its broader ESG vision. The company remains committed to building a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future for the AV industry.
