Lectrum RoHS Compliant Powder Coatings

Dec. 10, 2021 - Lectrum lectern metal components are painted using powder coating. Wilson & Gilkes has an onsite powder coating facility operated by very experienced team members. One of the key advantages powder coating has over other finishing processes is how safe it is for the environment and for the people who work with it. Unlike traditional solvent-based wet paint, powder coating is considered a “green” technology that doesn’t generate harmful solvents or airborne pollutants. Powder Coat contain no harmful volatile organic solvents(VOCs). Powder coat is free of heavy metal pigments such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, chromium (VI) & mercury. A powder coat finish is a consideration for projects where air quality standards have been set, such as 4, 5 & 6 Green Star Rating Projects.
