Hall Research Technologies releases the U97-ULTRA Series of All-in-One UTP Console Extenders which send dual video, audio, RS-232, and 2 direct USB extensions up to 400 feet over CATx.

 

 

 

Tustin, California - July 14, 2009

 

Hall Research Technologies announces today the release of the U97-ULTRA-2, an All-in-One UTP Console Extender, and the first member of the U97-ULTRA product series. This console extender is used to send dual-display PC video, stereo audio (amplified or line-level), RS-232, and up to two independent USB ports to a remote location up to 400 feet away over CATx cable. 

 

The U97-ULTRA-2 combines the functions of the U97-H2, UU2X4, SKU-RGB, the DVC-3 Video Test Pattern Generator, and several others from Hall Research’s catalog of products.  “The U97-ULTRA Series brings together several of our products into one powerful, rack-mountable device” said Ali Haghjoo, Chief Executive Officer. “It was designed with built-in features like skew correction and EDID, which our customers will find valuable,” continued Mr. Haghjoo. The built-in video skew correction on both video channels was included to correct the lack of RGB convergence when long Cat6 cables are used. Its built-in EDID (Extended Display ID) allows PCs to detect LCDs even if none are connected at the sender or receiver. 

 

The U97-ULTRA-2 includes a rack-mountable sender unit plus a wall-mountable receiver (and I/O hood cover) packaged together. In addition, the sender and receiver units are available to be sold separately.
