The SPL120 is a precision instrument designed to measure sound levels up to 123dB SPL in either IEC FLAT, A or C weighting. It features a digital numeric display that is easily read from a distance. The unit reads both fast and slow inputs without the need for a speed selector switch as found in many metered units and has a HI SPL setting to capture the highest reading monitored. The readings are based on ANSI SI.4 standards as published in the American National Standards for sound level meters. Typical applications for the SPL120 are measuring levels for OSHA compliance, enforcement of noise statutes, setting levels for sound systems, monitoring clubs and discos and setting Dolby Levels for home theater applications. Also available is the Model SPL120L for low-level measurements and the Model SPL162 for high SPL measurements up to 162dB SPL. Model SPL120RM3 is a single rack space unit with three switchable microphone inputs. Model SPLSIGN is a single rack space rack SPL meter with a programmable message sign visible at 150 feet.
