MS-88 is a bi-directional version of the MS-8 master/slave rack. While accepting all option cards designed for the MS-8, the MS-88 is able to encode/decode the EtherSound channels in either direction (up or downstream) on the single 100TX Cat5 cable in the bi-directional EtherSound setup.
