Christie’s Middle East Technical Team Boosted

WOKINGHAM, UK – (26th April, 2011) – Christie’s support team in the Middle East will be further strengthened with immediate effect by the arrival of Matthew Reed, Technical Services Supervisor, in Dubai.

Matthew – a graduate of Media Technology studies from Southampton Solent University – worked for two and a half years as an Application Support Technologist at the company’s EMEA headquarters in Wokingham UK prior to joining Christie’s team in the Middle East. During this time, he dealt with installations, product support and training.

In that time, Matthew worked across Christie’s full portfolio of products, and supported a wide array of different installation projects including Arqiva in the UK, Kongsberg Maritime in Norway and Antenna 3 in Spain. Matt will initially join the Middle East team for a two-year period.

“I’m thoroughly relishing the challenge of working in the Middle East region – as I have already been involved in a number of projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,” stated the Christie engineer. “I will be looking to provide additional support in this expanding market, by raising the standard of installations — particularly in the growing control room sector — and ensuring that our partners are correctly trained.”

Christie EMEA Sales Director, Simon Smith commented, “Since the Dubai office was established four years ago we have experienced excellent year on year growth in all the company’s core sectors. Much of this has been due to our educational programmes, training seminars and reliable back-up. Matt’s arrival will enable us to give these important areas much more focus, increasing our reputation for installer and operator training and helping to build even closer contact with our customer base.”
