Black Box Expands Video Wall Processor Capabilities With New Radian 1000 Series
Posted on Wednesday, June 14, 2017

PITTSBURGH, June 14, 2017 -- Black Box, a world-leading technology solutions provider for high-performance KVM, switching, and professional A/V signal distribution and extension, today announced the expansion of its Radian video wall processor line with the new 1000 Series (VWP-1060).

Designed primarily for business applications, this Radian helps users create video walls that display digital signage in board rooms, sports venues and other professional and public spaces. Operators can freely place content anywhere on up to 24 displays of large-scale, multi-window walls. They can also drag, drop, resize and scale windows to any size.

The Radian 1000 Series can be managed from any PC over a network, making it easy to achieve real-time control. It’s also compact enough to be deployed outside the server room, and is quiet enough to be used in a conference room.

Other key features include:

  • Video capability: The new series supports true 4K@60Hz and is compatible with ultra high-definition displays. It can be used with a wide range of input cards, including HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, SDI and VGA, and can also decode and display IP video streams.
  • Scalability: With six universal slots, the system I/O can be expanded as needed to support up to 20 direct video inputs, up to 250 IP video streams, or up to 24 displays.
  • Integration: The Radian 1000 seamlessly integrates with other premier Black Box products, including Coalesce for wireless presentations and collaboration, and ControlBridge for touchscreen capabilities.

The Radian 1000 Series is an extension of Black Box’s Radian 2000, which is used in mission-critical spaces.

“The Radian 1000 is an affordable video wall processing solution for digital signage and conference room applications,” said Tom Strade, Vice President of Product Innovation and Marketing. “Another major benefit is that it uses the same software, I/O cards and API as our Radian 2000 Series, meaning it maintains the same processing and user capabilities.”
