EDISON, New Jersey – June 19, 2019 – McCann Systems is proud to claim a coveted spot on the Commercial Integrator 40 Influencers Under 40 list for the fifth year in a row. Nick Dawson, CTS, AutoCAD Certified Specialist, CAD Design Manager and Creative Coordinator at McCann Systems, is proud to represent the team on this year’s list.
The 40 Under 40 list by Commercial Integrator is an annual chance for veterans of the AV industry & IT world to nominate and recommend rising stars in the market space. With an influx of young talent making their mark on AV, as seen by the numbers coming out of InfoComm 2019, this year’s competition was a fierce one. In fact, 40% of registered attendees were under the age of 40 in Orlando this year.
When asked about what he loves about the AV integration industry and working at McCann Systems, Nick said, “the people I get to work with…my coworkers are some of the smartest, most passionate, and most skilled people I’ve ever had the chance to work with. Most importantly, they are a ton of fun.”
Nick continued, “on a professional level, I get to be creative with my work, which is very important to me. I get to lend a hand in many different areas outside of drafting. Not only is that encouraged but it has allowed me to grow on a personal and professional level. If I want to pursue certifications or training courses, that is always supported. I love my job.”
Nick has spent 12 years in the integration business, and utilizes the latest advances in CAD to create both elegant and informative project drawings. He also designed the drafting standards and CAD files for the Engineering & Drafting Departments.
Nick was nominated by Greg Thompson, a 2018 winner and Design Engineer at McCann Systems.
