Article posted on July 20, 2019

Diversified continues partnership with the Empire State Building, helping to launch phase two of their journey to an immersive guest experience.

Empire State Building, 2nd Floor Exhibits: Construction

KENILWORTH, NJ—Diversified, a leading global provider of innovative technology solutions, is thrilled to announce the completion of phase two of the reimagined Observatory Experience at the Empire State Building (ESB). Open to the public on July 29, 2019, this phase spans the entire second floor of the World’s Most Famous Building, covering 10,000 sq. ft. of space and almost 100 years of iconic history.

The new, immersive exhibits take guests on a journey through the ESB and its connection with history, culture, and its present, modern incarnation as an energy efficient home to top international companies, all while they make their way to the Observatories. Starting with the building’s construction, the exhibits tell the full story from conception to reality of the creation of an internationally renowned landmark. Diversified, through its’ cutting-edge AV technology solutions and digital media expertise, helped the ESB bring that story to life.

“I remember visiting the ESB as a child, marveling at the tremendous views and the iconic place it holds in our pop culture,” said Fred D’Alessandro, founder and CEO of Diversified. “The opportunity to help recreate that powerful experience for millions of modern visitors and to share the ESB story with the world is not only an honor, but a dream come true. I am so proud of our dedicated and talented team who worked so hard to make it happen!”

Diversified’s technology integrations brought numerous exhibits to life using projectors, LED video walls, HD displays and localized audio systems. The technology provided allowed content designers the ability to animate not only the progression of William F. Lamb’s iconic architectural drawings and the record time that the skyscraper was built, but also to place guests right in the middle of 1920s Fifth Avenue via CGI animation, giving them a taste of what it meant to bring the landmark to the city at that time.

Bottom line, no matter which area ends up being your favorite, the newly renovated ESB will certainly provide an experience like no other place in the world.
