The Leo Baeck Education Center turns 19 classrooms "Smart" with TechPod Lecterns
Posted on Wednesday, January 27, 2010

"Our students are being focused and concentrated at all times…we switch between various medias, from websites to a presentation, back to a movie, and so on. The students are in a familiar space, this is what they know from home, and this is what they expect to see at school" said Dani Fesler, Headmaster & Managing Director of the Leo Baeck Education Center.

The decision to implant TechPod lecterns in the classrooms was designed to continue the center's tradition of offering students the latest innovative technology, and turn conventional teaching into a multimedia experience. Management decision came after a complete and lengthy survey on the different options and solutions available on the market.

TechPod Workstation (TWS-51), an innovative multimedia console, offering a complete Audio Visual solution to classrooms and training facilities "out of the Box", was chosen due to the simple control panel and robust structure suitable for high school and college environment. Its affordable price allowed the Center to refurnish twice the amount of classrooms they originally planned within the same budget.

The installation process took less than 2 weeks to complete with the integration of Sanyo projectors, Da-Lite motorized screens and a wireless LAN interface with each of the TechPod PCs.  "The new multimedia classrooms helps us in creating a more relevant, interesting, attractive and creative Campus. The technology allows us to speak to our students in their own language", summarizes Fesler.
