The LG OLED display is setting a new standard in TV technology. But what makes them different from other types of TVs? Unlike TVs that use backlighting that's always on, then selectively blocks light from coming through, OLED TVs use organic light-emitting diodes to light each individual sub-pixel as needed – so they can turn on, or off, to create the image on the screen.
