SALT LAKE CITY, March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO) today announced the appointments of three new executives, who were formerly associated with VCON Video Conferencing, a company acquired by ClearOne in late-February. Key executives include Avishay Ben Natan, who will serve as ClearOne's Chief Technology Officer; Rami Bahar, who will serve as ClearOne's Vice President of Global Video and International Sales; and Shai Toren, who will serve as ClearOne's Vice President, Video Conferencing Business.

"In addition to VCON's world-class technology and intellectual property, the VCON acquisition brings ClearOne a wealth of knowledge and experience by retaining VCON's management team," said Zee Hakimoglu, Chairman and CEO of ClearOne. "The addition of this team opens the door for new business partnerships worldwide."

Avishay Ben Natan will serve as Chief Technology Officer for ClearOne. In this role, he will be responsible for determining and driving strategic technology innovation by aligning ClearOne's technology vision with its business strategy. Mr. Ben Natan brings more than 30 years of experience in advanced technologies, including digital video compression, streaming, codecs, professional conferencing and digital signage. He has spent much of his career building startups, including C-nario, a world leader in high end multi-display digital signage solutions.

Rami Bahar brings ClearOne more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in professional AV and digital signage industries. As an industry veteran, his previous experience includes managing national and international sales, marketing and business development operations for Sharp Corporation and Philips. Along with Mr. Ben Natan, he was also one of the founders of C-nario, as well as its VP of Sales and Strategic Planning. In his new role, he will be responsible for worldwide sales of all ClearOne video products, including video conferencing, multimedia streaming and digital signage products. Additionally, Mr. Bahar will have international sales responsibility for the entire line of ClearOne audio solutions.

Shai Toren spent five years with Polycom Video Solutions Group managing worldwide video partnering solutions for the company. Prior to that, he was Director of Product Management for Comverse Technologies, working in their mobile data division. As Vice President, Video Conferencing Business, he will be responsible for business operations, and go-to-market planning for ClearOne's Video Conferencing solutions.
