Collaboration is the name of the game these days, and the world of entertainment is no different. A truly immersive entertainment experience, for example, is always equal to the sum of creative content AND top-notch technologies. So when B.immersed, an innovation initiative within our Entertainment division, wanted to demonstrate the power of its immersive video and audio technologies at TEDxGhent, it teamed up with German artist, music producer and multi-instrumentalist Martine-Nicola Rojina, among many others. The result? A mind-blowing keynote speech!

TEDx conferences address the best and the latest ideas in the fields of technology, entertainment and design. In other words, TEDx was the perfect platform for our Entertainment team to bring their incubator technologies to life. “Successful collaboration always starts with a common goal, good vibes and a firm idea. Our innovation cell B.Immersed found a technology-keen and collaboration-driven collective in TEDx Ghent,” explains Reggy Mortier. “The idea was to impress TEDx visitors with a fully immersive experience that merged exciting video images and fascinating sound with other inspiring multimedia content.”
The power of collaboration He continued: “We were delighted to get artist Martine-Nicola Rojina on board to merge her creative content with the technologies at hand. The collective, consisting of Bitstream, NoComputers, The Fridge, Shimera Studio, B.Immersed, Barco Audio Technologies, the TEDxGhent team and the Bijloke team, then collaborated closely to work out a fantastic event, keynote and an impressively immersive experience.”
Step into another dimension On 18 June, the stage for Martine-Nicola’s TED talk will feature a triple-screen panoramic set-up, a 3D object-based sound system and lots of interactive creative content. Prepare for a ground-breaking experience complete with amazing sound, live interactive audio visualization, drone-based video footage and much more - elements that all work together seamlessly to let you discover Martine-Nicola’s fascination for waves and step into another dimension …
