March 9, 2023 - A key reason for Adaptive Technologies Group's success is due to the diverse background of its staff, what they have accomplished before joining Adaptive and what interests and activities they have now.

Take Jerry Hoving, for example. He is our lead machinist and "inventor." He programs and trains operators on our CNC lathes, mills, brake presses and laser machines. Thanks to his forty years of experience, if there is a better or faster way to make a part, Jerry will find it. 

Before joining Adaptive, Jerry worked on many high-profile aerospace projects including the James Web space telescope, the Mars Rover. He even served the cinema industry providing close tolerance machining of Panavision cameras.

Jerry is a member of a family operated National Hot Rod Assoc. (NHRA) racing team called Jim, Dunn Racing, founded by his parents. This photo shows Jerry in front of one of their "Funny Cars". Jerry has been with the team since he was thirteen years old, which helped him hone his mechanical and engineering skills.
