November 8, the day that Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered the existence of x-rays in 1895, is known as the International Day of Radiology.

X-rays, MRI scans, ultrasounds are known to many people, but the exact purpose and value of these medical images and the people who interpret them is not widely understood.

That’s why, on this day, we celebrate the essential role of the radiologist as a member of the healthcare team and their contribution to patient care.

In recognition of their hard work, we spoke to clinicians about the role of the radiologist in the patient pathway.
