The LSC outlet panel solves these problems by providing a neat 2RU module with front mounted outlets and flying leads on the rear panel to connect to the dimmer or power distribution units inside the rack cabinet. When installing dimmer racks into 19" equipment racks, the fact that the outlet sockets are located on the rear of the dimmer can be a problem. Sometimes the rear of the rack in inaccessible, or has many other connections that might get bumped by a user when patching the dimmer outlets. It may also be inconvenient to pass patch leads into the rear of the rack compared to patching on the front.
