InStream Amino delivers simple and affordable IPTV by combining Haivision’s encoders and/or Torpedo™ DVB to IP gateways with Amino AmiNET 140™ series set-top boxes. A freely available firmware developed by Haivision, InStream Amino extracts electronic program guide (EPG) information directly from the Torpedo’s DVB streams or Session Announcement Protocol (SAP) sources from the encoders and automatically displays the channel information to viewers, without the need for a traditional middleware server.
