The MAGIC EEC allows converting of ETI to EDI and EDI to ETI signals. Typical applications are ensemble multiplexers, which are not able to generate an ETI signal (eg Fraunhofer ContentServerTM), but contribution to transmitter has to be realised via E1 lines using ETI format, or ensemble multiplexers, which have only ETI inputs and outputs (eg Rohde and Schwarz DM001), but contribution is possible only via IP networks using the EDI protocol.
